I wanted a look that to me was different to what I usually stick to with my make-up; the ‘newness’ here came from the shape on the eyes. I wanted something to compliment the ‘Orange Friday’ outfit (post to come; the clothes in question can be seen on the Facebook page on a Polyvore set) whilst taking the blending out far on the sides.
I started with the double ended brush from the Urban Decay Electric Palette. Using the smaller end brushed Illamasqua Apex (red orange) under the waterline, close to the rim and half-way from the iris to corners. Taking the line in a downward line from the corner to mimic a backslash and blended that out and up, with Illamasqua’s Blending Brush.
To the other half of the rim I added Illamasqua Slink (shimmering champagne) using Bobbi Brown Angle Eyeshadow Brush and took that over the inner corner and top of the lid. With Bobbi Brown Eye Smudge Brush Illamasqua Bronx (bronze gold) was swept across the rest of the eyelid and Illamasqua Vulgar (tangerine) filled out the shape above the eyelid, bleding it with the Apex, which was also added as a soft ‘eyeliner’ on the upper rim and finished off with mascara.
Estee Lauder Witty Peach is such a pretty ombre shade and one of my favourite blushers, which worked well with the orange here using Chanel Angled Brush.
Finally, Lime Crime My Beautiful Rocket was mattified using a fine powder over the top and brushed out to keep the overall look soft.
